Transfers
To the hotel
Riga airport is located around 20 minutes from Riga city center, where the event takes place. There is a public bus available from the airport to the city center.
We will have an information desk at the airport with JA staff members waiting for you. JA Latvia volunteers will help with getting to the hotel.
If you don’t want to use the public transport, you can take a taxi from the airport. We suggest using the Taxify app for this - it will take around 20 minutes (depending on the traffic) and cost 8 EUR to get to the hotel.

Local transport
If you wish to explore Riga on your own, there is a very good public transport network with trams, buses and trolleys. To use this, you have to use a public transport ticket that is available to buy at any kiosk. It will work everywhere in Riga.

Event venues
The whole event will be held by the center of Riga. Opening ceremony, business presentations, lunches will take place at the Bellevue Park Hotel which is also the accommodation place for the event participants. Trade fair will be at a shopping center in Riga Old Town which is the center of the city. The awards dinner will be at the Railway Museum which is a short distance from the hotel where everyone will be staying.

Stand exhibition

The exhibition is not a formal part of the competition. However, it is an opportunity for the main jury to interact informally with the companies, asking questions about their project. It is also the only opportunity for the signature juries to have a dialogue with the teams, whose performance will be taken into consideration in the final evaluation.
At the exhibition area, we can already confirm that the teams will be provided with:

  • Desk
  • Digital screen within the desk
  • Electricity & WiFi

Since we offer companies a chance to have their own logo on the front panel of the stand, we would like to kindly ask you to fill out a form with your details - form is available here.

Table - the size will be 0,86m (height) x 0,59m x 1,1 m. See the picture below

Screen

We will provide each team a 55” digital screen for the trade fair. You can connect your computer to the screen via HDMI (preferred) or VGA. Each team is responsible for their own adapters and extension cables.

In addition to this, teams may bring their own roll-up or display board if desired, but it’s not necessary.

Each team is responsible for their own adapters, extension cables etc. There won’t be any chairs.

As part of setting up the stands, the teams are only permitted to use materials that can be placed on the desk, not around it or stuck on it (EXCEPTION: standing roll-up, that the team can put next to the desk).
